Frequently asked questions

How many calories are in a GYG burrito?

It depends on the build. A regular burrito with a flour tortilla, one protein, rice, beans, cheese and a salsa usually lands between 2,500 kJ and 3,500 kJ (600 to 840 calories). Use the calculator to get the number for your exact combination.

What is the highest protein GYG option?

A bowl or burrito with double chicken or double steak and black beans gives the most protein per kilojoule. Skip the sour cream and cheese to keep fat down while protein stays high.

Does the calculator show kilojoules or calories?

Both. Australian menus are labelled in kilojoules, so the calculator shows kJ first and calories alongside it. One calorie is 4.184 kilojoules.

Where does the nutrition data come from?

Values are approximate and are being aligned with the official Australian nutrition guide. This site is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Guzman y Gomez.
